Education Manager, International Slavery Museum
I just wanted to drop you a note to say what a wonderful time we had during our djembe lessons on a recent trip to Liverpool. We visited the slavery museum expecting a few paintings and artefacts but was pleasantly surprised with an impromptu djembe class. The children really enjoyed it and the way you got a room full of strangers to laugh and play together was amazing, well done! Poppy is still telling everyone about your ‘African Laptop’.
Thank you for making us smile. Julie
I have been drumming with Karim for 4 years and he is the most fantastic teacher; patient and enthusiastic with all levels of abilities, and always with laughter and passion. His knowledge of West African and Senegalese music and culture is amazing. I have learnt so much from him and it is a real honour and privilege to be taught by such an expert and also to have the opportunity to learn sabar drum as well as djembe.
I cannot recommend Karim highly enough, his knowledge, energy and enthusiasm is contagious and he truly is a master drummer.

Karim has inspired me to do better and achieve more with my drumming knowledge. He is enthusiastic and at the same time patient when he is teaching. I love drumming. It is another dimension to my life and brings our my creativity and expression. Karim has been a major influence and I am grateful he has been my teacher.

I would just like to say how amazing you were yesterday.
The school was alive with a buzz of excitement and that was down to you guys. The children and staff alike, really enjoyed it. I will be checking the school's diary to see where we can fit you in again and hopefully that will be before next year.
Thank you for bringing your culture, fun and excellence to Norton Le Moors, we feel privileged.
